The Family is a new take on the traditional agency model. We work with talent, brands, and creators who are tired of rigid systems and transactional relationships — and are looking for big-picture strategy, meaningful partnerships, and opportunities that actually move the needle. We specialize in creative strategy, brand activations, experiential events, sponsorship strategy, and special projects that don’t fit neatly into a box. Our work is collaborative, non-exclusive, and built around one core belief: the best opportunities are created — not waited for.At The Family, we don’t just represent talent. We help build leverage, connect the right people, and turn ideas into real-world outcomes.
The Family exists to create opportunity. We partner with artists, performers, creators, and brands who want more than bookings or one-off deals. Our focus is long-term thinking, symbiotic partnerships, and projects that serve everyone involved. Our work often includes:
Brand activations & experiential events
Community-led experiences
Sponsorship strategy & deal-making
Creative direction & concept development
Tour and event curation
Social and content strategy
Special projects that don’t fit a traditional agency modelWe know talent builds and maintains their own relationships through years of work together. Our role is to support, amplify, and connect those relationships in ways that create real momentum. If you have a goal, a vision, or an idea — there’s a good chance we know how to move it forward, or who to bring into the room to make it happen.
+ Non-exclusive, relationship-driven partnerships
+ Cross-industry thinking (music, fashion, media, tech, community)
+ A collaborative model that grows with you
+ Strategy and execution — not just ideas
+ A deep belief in community as a source of opportunityWe don’t force people into systems.
We build systems around people.
We are proactive by nature.Ideas move fast here — and when we see a moment of synergy, we act on it.Every collaboration starts with clarity:
What are your goals?
What leverage do you already have?
What’s missing?
What’s urgent — and what needs to be built over time?In the first week, we identify scope and strategy.
If the goal is festivals, but the leverage isn’t there yet, we focus on building that leverage. If the need is immediate, we move quickly. If the work requires collaborators, we bring them in first. We think in chess moves, not checkers — aligning brand interests, talent goals, and community impact so everyone wins. Our model is simple and transparent:
We take 10% on deals we create
We do not require or ask for exclusivity
We can manage booking if/when needed based on the project scope, but it is not our core focus
For event production or sponsorship builds, we work on a project or production fee based on scope, prep, and executionWhen we build events, we prioritize hiring from within our ecosystem — creating jobs for the talent and collaborators we work with.Client first. Always.
Long-term relationships above all.
Hi, I'm Jess Payne! I’m a creative director, strategist, producer, and community builder — and I’ve spent my career working at the intersection of art, culture, and people. My background spans on-set production, studio management, creative direction, talent management, branding, web development, custom app design, and community-driven platforms. I’ve founded multiple companies, worked closely with iconic creatives, and watched assistants become leading agents by building their own relationships — not waiting for permission.Across every project, one thing has remained constant:
bringing the right people together creates the magic.People come to me when they need someone who: always has an idea, knows the right people, sees the big picture and actually follows through. My cross-industry experience allows me to translate between worlds — music, photography, brands, tech, and community — even when the language is different. I’m known for my eye, my taste, and a bold creative perspective that challenges norms while respecting legacy.I listen. I connect dots. I protect my people.
If you’re in my world, you’re not doing it alone.Tell me your goals. Tell me your dreams.
Let’s see what we can build together.
